🎪 Festival Setup
Radahn's fight is unique — it's a festival battle where you can summon NPC allies. Do NOT attempt this fight solo unless you're severely overleveled.
Available Summons (Gold Signs on the Battlefield)
- Blaidd the Half-Wolf — aggressive melee, high damage
- Alexander (Iron Fist) — tanky, draws aggro
- Okina — fast bleed attacks
- Patches — cowardly, runs away after one hit (but distracts Radahn)
- Lionel the Lionhearted — heavy tank
Important: Signs reappear after NPCs die. Keep re-summoning throughout the fight.
Pre-Fight Checklist
- ✅ Summon Torrent (horse) — essential for this fight
- ✅ Equip a bow or ranged option for Phase 1
- ✅ Have Rotten Breath (dragon incantation) ready for cheese
- ✅ Fill all flask charges
- ✅ Equip Radagon's Soreseal or HP-boosting talismans
⚔️ Phase 1 — Gravity Warrior
🏹 Opening Arrow Barrage
Radahn starts by shooting gravity arrows that track you. These one-shot most builds.
- Method 1: Summon an NPC immediately — the arrow will target them instead.
- Method 2: Ride Torrent and zigzag. The arrows have a slight delay — change direction constantly.
- Method 3: Use the sword monuments on the battlefield as cover.
🐴 Mounted Combat (Torrent)
This fight is designed for mounted combat. Stay on Torrent at all times.
- Hit-and-Run: Gallop in, land 1-2 hits, gallop away. Never stay close for more than 2 seconds.
- Double Jump: Use Torrent's double jump to avoid shockwaves and gravity slams.
- Summon While Riding: You can summon NPCs without dismounting.
- Healing: Create maximum distance before using flasks — his ranged attacks are fast.
⚠️ Dangerous Attacks
- Gravity Pull + Slam: Purple aura surrounds you, then you're pulled toward him and slammed. When you see the purple glow, sprint away on Torrent.
- Sword Slam Shockwave: Slams both swords into the ground — massive AoE. Double-jump over it with Torrent.
- Spinning Combo: Spins both swords in a whirlwind. Don't approach. Wait for the final slam.
- Arrow Rain: Shoots a volley of arrows into the sky that rain down. Keep moving on Torrent — they target where you were, not where you are.
☄️ Phase 2 — Meteor Form
At ~50% HP, Radahn leaps into the sky and becomes a meteor. This is the most cinematic moment in the game — and the most dangerous.
🌠 The Meteor Crash
- When he leaps up — immediately look at the sky.
- You'll see a streak of fire descending. That is Radahn.
- Sprint perpendicular to his descent path on Torrent.
- The impact creates a massive explosion that one-shots most builds.
- After impact, he is briefly stunned — attack now.
Phase 2 New Attacks
- Gravity Orbs: Summons 4 purple orbs that home in on you. Sprint in a wide circle on Torrent — they expire.
- Enhanced Shockwaves: All sword slams now have larger shockwaves. Double-jump is mandatory.
- Desperate Swings: Faster, more erratic combos. Stay at medium range and let NPCs tank.
🧀 Scarlet Rot Cheese Method
For players struggling with the fight, this method trivializes it.
Requirements
- Rotten Breath dragon incantation (purchased from Cathedral of Dragon Communion)
- At least 15 Faith and a Dragon Communion Seal
- Enough FP for 1-2 casts (~36 FP)
Step-by-Step
- Enter the arena and immediately summon Blaidd (closest sign).
- While Blaidd tanks, get on Torrent and approach Radahn from the side.
- Cast Rotten Breath — the cloud will inflict Scarlet Rot.
- Once Scarlet Rot procs (he glows red), run away immediately.
- Scarlet Rot deals ~1,300 damage per tick to Radahn.
- Re-apply when the rot wears off. He will die without you ever engaging in melee.
This is the most reliable method for underleveled characters. It takes 3-4 minutes but is virtually risk-free.
