- Notable: Limgrave is massive — explore the eastern beaches, the mistwood, and the peninsula south of the castle before challenging Stormveil.
- Map Fragment: Found on the road east of the Gatefront Ruins Site of Grace.
🏰 Weeping Peninsula (South of Limgrave)
Recommended Level: 20-35 | Key Boss: Leonine Misbegotten
- Key Items: 4 Sacred Tears (upgrade flasks), Golden Seeds, Stonebarb Cracked Tear
- Notable: Often skipped but incredibly rewarding. The Church of Pilgrimage and Fourth Church hold Sacred Tears. Castle Morne has a powerful early greatsword (Grafted Blade Greatsword).
- Tip: Complete Irina's questline here before advancing too far.
💧 Liurnia of the Lakes (West)
Recommended Level: 40-55 | Key Boss: Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon
- Key Items: Academy Glintstone Key, Larval Tears (respec), Moonveil katana, Carian Filigreed Crest
- Dungeons: Raya Lucaria Academy, Caria Manor, Lakeside Crystal Cave, Academy Crystal Cave
- Notable: Three Sisters area (northwest) contains Ranni's questline — one of the most important questlines in the game. Don't skip it.
- Map Fragments: Liurnia East, Liurnia North, Liurnia West (three separate fragments).
☠️ Caelid (East — Rot & Danger)
Recommended Level: 60-75 | Key Boss: Starscourge Radahn
- Key Items: Radahn's Great Rune, Golden Seeds, Somber Smithing Stones, Beastman's Curved Sword
- Notable: Extremely dangerous early. The swamp inflicts Scarlet Rot instantly. Use Preserving Boluses or Flame, Cleanse Me incantation.
- Bestial Sanctum: Accessible early via portal in Limgrave (east of Third Church). Farm Vulgar Militia for ~1,000 runes each.
- Redmane Castle: Festival mechanic for Radahn fight — talk to NPCs to trigger the battle.
🏔️ Altus Plateau (Central Highlands)
Recommended Level: 60-80 | Key Boss: Morgott, the Omen King
- Key Items: Dectus Medallion (two halves in Fort Haight and Fort Faroth), Altus Plateau Map Fragment
- Two Entry Methods: (1) Grand Lift of Dectus (requires medallion), (2) Ruin-Strewn Precipice dungeon (no medallion needed)
- Leyndell: The Royal Capital is massive. Explore thoroughly — it contains multiple Sites of Grace, merchants, and key NPCs.
- Notable: Windmill Village (north) has a unique boss and celebrant weapons.
🌋 Mt. Gelmir (Northwest Volcano)
Recommended Level: 70-85 | Key Boss: Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy
- Key Items: Serpent-Hunter spear (essential for Rykard fight — found in boss arena), Gelmir's Fury sorcery
- Volcano Manor: Joining gives you assassination contracts for unique rewards. You can complete these without hurting your main progression.
- Notable: The mountain path is treacherous — watch for falling rocks and lava slugs.
❄️ Mountaintops of the Giants (North)
Recommended Level: 90-110 | Key Boss: Fire Giant
- Key Items: Rold Medallion (access to Consecrated Snowfield), Giant's Forge
- Notable: After Fire Giant, you cannot return to Leyndell in its original state — finish any quests there first.
- Zamor Ruins: Contains Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones for +25 normal weapons.
- Castle Sol: Required for one ending path. Contains the other half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion.
🌑 Crumbling Farum Azula (Floating City)
Recommended Level: 110-130 | Key Boss: Maliketh, the Black Blade
- Key Items: Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones, Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones
- Notable: This area is accessed automatically after a certain point in the story. It cannot be reached by normal travel.
- Beast Clergyman: Maliketh's first form is highly aggressive. Use pillars for cover. His second form inflicts Destined Death (max HP reduction).
🏛️ Leyndell, Ashen Capital (Endgame)
Recommended Level: 120-150 | Key Boss: Godfrey/Hoarah Loux, Radagon/Elden Beast
- Notable: The final area. Radagon is fast and holy-focused. Elden Beast is a massive arena chase — stack Holy resistance (Haligdrake Talisman +2).
- Tip: After defeating the final boss, you can choose to continue into NG+ or stay to explore.
