Common Attack Patterns & Counters

Most bosses share common attack types. Learn these patterns:

🔴 Frontal Cone Attack

Boss sweeps forward in a cone. Very common.

✓ Dodge to the sides or behind

⚡ Charge Attack

Boss charges in a straight line. Usually telegraphed.

✓ Dodge perpendicular to charge direction

💥 Ground Slam

Boss slams ground, creates AoE damage.

✓ Move out of radius or use i-frames

❄️ Freeze/Immobilize

Boss traps you in place. Precedes big attack.

✓ Use Unstoppable skill or CC break

👥 Summon Minions

Boss summons adds. Common in later phases.

Boss Fight Tips

General Strategies

  • Learn attack patterns - Most bosses have tells before big attacks (wind-up animations, sound cues)
  • Bring appropriate resistance gear - Match your resistances to the boss's damage type
  • Save cooldowns for vulnerable phases - Most bosses have phases where they take extra damage
  • Use the environment - Pillars, rocks, and obstacles can block some attacks
  • Don't greed for damage - Sometimes it's better to dodge than to get one more hit in
  • Positioning is key - Stay at optimal range for your class
  • Interrupt healing - Some bosses self-heal; interrupt if possible
