CHARACTERS & SKILLS

Sekiro's progression system, skill trees, vitality upgrades, and combat mechanics explained.

🐺 Wolf (The Protagonist)

Wolf is a shinobi serving Kuro, the Divine Heir. Unlike Souls games, Sekiro has no character creation or class selection. Your power comes from skill trees, prosthetic upgrades, and prayer beads.

Vitality (HP)

Increased by collecting 4 Prayer Beads and upgrading at a Sculptor's Idol. Max Vitality requires all 40 Prayer Beads (10 upgrades).

Posture

Your guard meter. When full, you become stunned and vulnerable to deathblows. Posture recovers faster when holding guard. Upgraded via Prayer Beads.

Attack Power

Increased by using Memories of Battle (dropped by major bosses). Each memory adds +1 Attack Power. NG+ required to reach max.

Resurrective Power

Your revive charges. Start with 1, max at 3. Recharged by killing enemies or resting at idols. Dragonrot reduces revival chance.

📈 Skill Trees

Spend Skill Points (XP) at Sculptor's Idols to unlock abilities. Each tree focuses on a different combat style.
